

Dr Lisa Smart BVSc (Hons) PhD DACVECC
Dr Smart completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Queensland (1999-2003), a rotating internship at Queensland Veterinary Specialists and PetER (2004) and a Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care residency at University of California, Davis. She is board-certified with the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (ACVECC) and a registered specialist in Australia. She completed a PhD in Emergency Medicine with Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research and the University of Western Australia.
Dr Smart spent 13 years as a clinical academic at Murdoch University, and has experience in mentoring residents and research students. She has been productive in laboratory and clinical research, both in the veterinary and human medical field. You can find her list of publications here. She has been an invited speaker at many conferences, both in Australia and overseas. Although she now resides in private clinical practice, she is passionate about continuing to assist residents and research students in meeting their goals. Track Changers forms part of that mission.
